The National Mall, Washington DC

The National Mall is the central point around which the Smithsonian Museums, monuments, memorials, and major government institutions are located. A wonderful wide-open grassy area where visitors stroll, ride on the carousel, relax, play kickball or soccer, and just enjoy themselves surrounded by shady trees and historic buildings.
